Q: What is mobile spray tanning?
A: Mobile spray tanning is a convenient service where a certified spray tan technician comes to your location (your home, office, etc.) to provide a custom airbrush tan. No need to travel to a salon!

Q: How do I prepare for my spray tan?
A: For the best results, we recommend: * Exfoliating your skin thoroughly 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells. * Shaving or waxing at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. * Avoiding lotions, deodorants, perfumes, and makeup on the day of your tan. These can create a barrier and affect the tan’s development. * Wearing dark, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment. Q: What should I wear during my spray tan?
A: You can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Options include: * Nothing: This ensures no tan lines. * Underwear or a swimsuit: Choose something you don’t mind potentially getting a little tan solution on (though it usually washes out).

Q: How long does the appointment take?
A: A typical mobile spray tan appointment takes around 30-45 minutes, including setup, the actual spray tanning process, and drying time.

Q: Will the spray tan make me orange?
A: No! Modern spray tanning solutions and proper application techniques result in a natural-looking, sun-kissed glow. We use high-quality solutions with a violet undertone to ensure no oompa loompa orange!

Q: Is spray tanning safe?
A: Yes, when done correctly. The active ingredient in most spray tanning solutions, DHA (dihydroxyacetone), is a non-toxic sugar that reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of your skin to create a tan. You can wear eye protection and nose filters if you’d prefer however we do not provide those.

Q: Can I get a spray tan if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
A: While DHA is generally considered safe, we always recommend consulting with your doctor before getting a spray tan if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

During your tan

Q: What can I expect during the spray tanning process?
A: Our technician will set up a portable spray tanning booth or designated area in your chosen location. They will discuss your desired shade and skin tone, then apply the tanning solution using a professional airbrush gun. You’ll be guided through different poses to ensure even coverage.

Q: Does the solution have a strong odor?
A: Modern solutions have a minimal odor. You might notice a slight initial scent, but it usually dissipates quickly.

Q: Will the solution stain my furniture or floors?
A: We take precautions to protect your surroundings by using a pop-up spray tanning booth and protective barriers. However, it’s always best to choose a well-ventilated area and avoid light-colored fabrics nearby.

Q: How long does it take for the tan to develop?
A: The tan typically takes 6-8 hours to fully develop. We will provide specific instructions based on the solution used.

Q: What should I avoid after my spray tan?
A: To ensure a flawless and long-lasting tan, avoid: * Water contact: No showering, swimming, sweating excessively, or getting caught in the rain for at least the recommended development time. * Tight clothing: Wear loose, dark clothing to prevent rubbing and streaks. * Applying lotions, deodorants, or makeup until after your first shower. * Touching your skin excessively. Q: How long will my spray tan last?
A: A spray tan typically lasts 7-10 days, depending on your skin type, how well you prepare, and how you care for it afterward.

Q: How can I make my spray tan last longer?
A: To prolong your tan: * Moisturize your skin daily with a tan-extending lotion or a non-oil-based moisturizer. * Avoid harsh soaps, exfoliants, and long, hot showers or baths. * Pat your skin dry after showering instead of rubbing. * Avoid activities that cause excessive sweating.

Q: Can I still wear sunscreen with a spray tan?
A: Absolutely! A spray tan provides cosmetic color only and offers no protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays. You should continue to use sunscreen daily.

Q: What is your pricing for mobile spray tanning in Andover?
A: Individual tan: $80 which includes the primer, tanning solution, setting spray and setting powder, Package deals may be available. Travel fees may apply if you are outside of a 30 mile radius from Andover, MN.
